FAQs

Golden's a busy town and we get a lot of the same questions — so we rounded them up here. If you don't find what you're looking for, just give us a call or drop us a line.

Visiting the Saddle

Where is Windy Saddle Cafe?

We're at 1110 Washington Ave in downtown Golden — right below the iconic "Welcome to Golden" arch, on the west side of the street. Hard to miss.

Where do I park?
There's free parking behind the cafe for the first two hours — just make sure to enter your license plate number through the Parkmobile app or one of the kiosks out back. There's also free 2-hour street parking directly on Washington Ave.

Is the cafe accessible?
Yes. The back entrance off the parking lot behind the cafe is fully accessible.

What are your hours?
Monday–Friday: 7am–3pm (kitchen closes at 2pm)
Saturday–Sunday: 7am–4pm (kitchen closes at 3pm)

Is there outdoor seating?
Yes — we have a spacious patio out front, and it's dog-friendly.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs aren't allowed inside, but your pup is absolutely welcome on the patio.

Do you have a kids' area?
We do! There's a designated children's play area inside the cafe.

Food & Drink

What kind of food do you serve?
Breakfast and lunch, made from scratch every day. Gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, soups (seasonal), and a full Bake Shop with artisanal pastries. Everything is made in-house.

Do you have gluten-free options?
Yes — and we take them seriously. We blend our own gluten-free flour in-house, and our GF baked goods get rave reviews from regulars and people who drive across town just for them. Gluten-free and vegan options are available every single day. Just keep in mind we're not a dedicated GF/V kitchen, so if you have a severe allergy, please let us know when you order.

Do you bake pastries fresh, and if so, what kind?
Everything in our Bake Shop is made from scratch daily — scones, muffins, cookies, bars, pies, cakes, quiche, and seasonal breads, to name a few. When cinnamon rolls are on the menu, they go fast, so keep an eye on our social media to know when they're fresh out of the oven.

Do you serve alcohol?
We do — wine and beer are available.

What coffee do you use?
We partner with Kaladi Coffee out of Denver. Their beans arrive freshly roasted each week. We're proud of our espresso drinks, pour-overs, and lattes — coffee is kind of our thing.

Can I buy coffee beans to take home?
Absolutely. We sell bags of our Giddy Up Windy Saddle Blend at the cafe — great for home, camping, or as a gift.

Reservations & Groups

Do you take reservations?
We're first-come, first-served — no reservations for regular visits. That said, if you're coming in with a party of more than six people, give us a call ahead of time so we can make sure we have room and our kitchen is ready for you.

Do you have a loyalty program or gift cards?
Yes to both! Check out the details on our Rewards & Gift Cards page.

Catering & Events

Do you do catering?
Yes — we cater office meetings, team lunches, and gatherings. Gourmet sandwich platters, Bake Shop assortments, and fresh-brewed Kaladi coffee service, with pickup or delivery in Golden. We ask for at least one week's notice and minimums apply. Head to our Catering & More page or email info@windysaddle.com to get started.

Can I order custom-baked goods?
Yes! Our Bake Shop takes special orders for birthdays, office events, teacher gifts, and more — cupcakes, cookies, bars, pies, muffins, scones, seasonal breads, and GF or vegan versions of most things. Contact us to discuss what you have in mind.

Can I rent the cafe for a private event?
Yes. We open up the space for private evening rentals after 6pm — great for office parties, fundraisers, private dinners, and group gatherings. Full espresso bar and cocktail/wine/beer service included. We ask for at least three weeks' notice. Fill out the form on our Catering & More page or email info@windysaddle.com.
